Movie Review: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

Okay, just to clarify, I HAVE read and seen all of the Hunger Games books/movies...

SPOILER WARNING- If you have not seen Mockingjay Part 2, I don't recommend reading my review, I DO compare the movie to the book though, so I also recommend that you've read the book as well.

REVIEW:

Okay, as a Hunger Games fan of both the novels and the movies, I have to say this wasn't the most spectacular of the movies, my third favorite actually, with Mockingjay Part 1 as my least. To give a summary of how I feel, I have mixed emotions. I do have to say the special effects were spectacular, and very well done, kudos to the effects supervisors. The soundtrack wasn't very unique, it seemed like it ripped off of the other movie's soundtracks, nothing very, original, to say the least. Acting wasn't bad, but it seemed like it only showed it's good side when truly dramatic moments appeared, like when Buttercup (or Butterscotch, idc) was yelled at by Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) after Primrose's death. The plot did follow the book very well, all characters that had died in the book, died in the movie, like Finnick (cri cri). However, the mutts weren't depicted correctly in my opinion, they were NOT slime monster humanoids, they were lizards, very strong lizards by the way.


RATING: 3.75 stars

I personally do recommend this movie for any Hunger Games fans, especially since the movies are now concluded, I do recommend that you read the book first, before any movie...
